At Milliken Builders we enjoy small jobs as much as the larger ones. At any time throughout the year we can have a large job going with a few smaller jobs scattered throughout. Or we might have multiple smaller jobs underway at different progress stages.
Our most popular small jobs include bathroom and kitchen renovations and window and door replacements. Each of these renovation jobs is unique. With our wide range of skills we are able to customise our services to best meet our clients’ needs.
Sometimes we provide only one or two key elements of a job that enables other companies or trades to complete their job. Here are a couple examples of this.
Barrack Heights – door installation and new ceiling
Our Barrack Heights clients were having their kitchen renovated by Kinsman Kitchens (often featured on The Block). To finish off their desired look they wanted a three-panel stacker door installed leading from the kitchen onto their existing deck. This required removing existing brickwork on the outside of the kitchen area, installing a new support head in the timber frame to support the weight of the new door and installing the new Hanlon’s door and Amplimesh security fly screen. Our clients also wanted the kitchen ceiling replaced. Both of these jobs were not services provided by the kitchen company so we came on board to assist.
Oak Flats – support beam and wall linings
Our Oak Flats client was renovating two bathrooms on her own. She had already begun the demolition work and had sourced her materials and trades. When she encountered a load bearing wall we came in to assist with removing the wall and installing a new support beam. We also installed Villaboard and James Hardie internal lining products.
We don’t often get to see the finished product on jobs where we only provide a few elements. These two clients kindly shared photos of their projects.
