Who are we?
Troy Milliken began his career in the residential building industry with a carpentry/joinery apprenticeship through Coastal Stairs Oak Flats. He worked with Coastal Stairs for over ten years doing staircase construction and on-site installations. During this time Troy gained helpful insight into on-site building and decided to complete his building qualifications. He began subcontracting and worked under many local builders refining his trade skills, building processes and customer service. Troy gradually began taking on his own jobs and has been operating his own building company for over 20 years.
Lydia Milliken originally studied music and arts but has made her career in office administration. She worked 8 years for BHP Engineering and 10 years for Oak Flats Anglican Church while juggling administration work for Troy. Milliken Builders continued to grow so in 2016 Lydia officially joined the team as Office Manager.

We employ a quality group of carpentry tradesmen and apprentices. Our team knows we have high standards for their carpentry skills, training, conduct and performance on-site. We strive to make our time in your home as stress-free and painless as possible.
There are several trades that we use regularly on our jobs. We have put together a team of reliable local subcontractors who provide quality service to our clients and work with our build schedules as closely as possible to minimise construction delays. For less frequent trades and services we constantly review our providers so we recommend and provide cost effective and quality solutions.
We source our materials locally so your build dollars remain in the Illawarra.
